The first major activity of the monastery after prayer is hospitality.  St. Paul says:  "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unknowingly entertained angels"  (Hebrews 13:2)

The monastery is not a weekend get away for the public at large, but a place that serves the spiritual needs of the Orthodox Christian community in the United States.  Visitors to the Monastery are expected to participate in the services and observe the schedule of the monastic community.  The guest facilities cannot be treated as  a hotel environment.

In order to preserve the spiritual atmosphere of the monastery appropriate attire must be worn at all times:  no shorts, revealing tops, and mini skirts.  Smoking is strictly prohibited on the grounds and in the buildings.  Pets are not permitted at the monastery.  Children must be continually under the supervision of their parents.

All guest must call before coming to the monastery.

For overnight stays it is suggested that you contact the monastery approximately 2 weeks in advance for reservations, click here to learn more about Retreats.    For visits and/or church services please call one day in advance.  For details click on Contact Us and Services.
