The Main Church

The construction of the new church began in 2008 with design and fundraising activities. The blessing of the ground took place on Bright Saturday, April 2010, and the actual construction was on the way the following month. In the two years that followed, the progress was marked by the blessing of the foundation on August 15, 2010, and the blessing of the start of the iconography on December 26, 2011, by His Eminence Archbishop NATHANIEL. The consecration of the church took place on October 6th, 2012 and initiated its use for services. Portions of the interior iconography are still in progress and in the future mosaic icons are planned for the exterior of the temple. The newly built Church is in the style of the churches from the Northern regions of Romania. The church building is 52 feet tall and 85 feet long. The interior of the church is 26 feet wide with a width of 46 feet in the apses. There is room for 200 people.

Oh, give thanks to the LORD!

Call upon His name;

Make known His deeds among the peoples!

Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him!

Talk of all His wondrous works!

Glory in His holy name;

Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!

Seek the LORD and His strength;

Seek His face evermore!

Remember His marvelous works which He has done,

His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth.

. . .

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

And say, “Save us, O God of our salvation;

Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles,

To give thanks to Your holy name,

To triumph in Your praise.”

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel

From everlasting to everlasting!

And all the people said, “Amen!”

and praised the LORD.
